Polymers
Afridana has many years of experience with the supply, preparation, and use of polymer for sludge dewatering and water treatment. Polymer is used for the flocculation of suspended particles, thereby improving the sludge's settling properties before dewatering with a flotation plant, belt filter press, screw press, or decanter centrifuge.
With our extensive product range, we are a competent partner for both public and private operators. Our polymer range consists of emulsions, distillates, powder-based, and water-based products, which are produced in various charge and branching degrees for every water purification and sludge handling purpose. We currently supply polymer to many municipal utilities and industrial plants in Denmark.
We find the right polymer
Afridana finds the right polymer for your process. The right polymer is found by performing laboratory and full-scale tests. In the laboratory, polymers with good flocculation and dewatering properties are selected. The most suitable polymer is subsequently tested in full-scale tests, which are performed on the dewatering unit in use.
Seasonal variations in biological water purification and changed operating conditions on the dewatering unit can occur. We are happy to perform ongoing control and process optimisation for our customers. In this way, we jointly ensure that the correct polymer is used under the current conditions at the water purification plant.
